Group 02 · Government fees

Government fees

Fees paid directly to the destination country's immigration authority (USCIS, IRCC, consulate, etc.) according to the officially published fee schedule. M2W does not collect these on your behalf and does not add a markup to this portion.

  • No hidden fees
  • Quotation per case
  • Commitments stated in the contract
01

What are government fees?

These are fees charged by the destination country's government to assess and grant immigration status. The amount is set and published by the immigration authority — it does not depend on M2W.

  • Petition / application fee
  • Biometrics fee
  • Visa fee / consular fee
  • Immigrant fee / RPRF (permanent resident card fee)
02

Common costs by route

Each country and category has its own fee schedule. Illustrative example (not a fixed figure — always follow the fee schedule in effect at the time of filing):

  • US (EB-3): I-140 petition fee, immigrant visa fee (IV fee), USCIS Immigrant Fee, medical examination with a panel physician
  • Canada: application fee, Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF), phí biometrics
  • Other countries: per the relevant immigration authority's fee schedule

Why M2W doesn't bundle government fees into the "all-inclusive package"

This fee is set by the government and changes over time. Bundling it into a single figure can easily become vague. You pay according to the official receipt, keeping a transparent record.

03

Where should I check for accurate rates?

The updated fee schedule is always on the official portal of the immigration authority, for example uscis.gov (US) or canada.ca (Canada). M2W cross-checks the fee schedule at the time your application is submitted and states it clearly in the estimated cost table.

04

Frequently Asked Questions

Does M2W take a cut of government fees?

No. You pay according to the published fee schedule and keep the official receipt. M2W only guides and coordinates the payment.

What if the government fee changes partway through?

The immigration authority may adjust its fee schedule. M2W updates figures based on the rate at the time of filing and notifies you in advance so you can prepare.

What currency is it paid in?

Usually in the destination country's currency (USD, CAD…) via the method specified by the immigration authority. M2W guides how to pay for each pathway.
