Why you should follow the Visa Bulletin for EB-3 immigration
The USA issues only a limited number of employment-based green cards each year, so EB-3 applicants queue by priority date. The US Department of State publishes the Visa Bulletin every month, showing which priority dates may file and which may be issued a visa. This page gives you that cut-off without reading the long English bulletin.

EB-3 priority-date cut-offs — Vietnamese cases
Vietnam falls under “All Chargeability Areas Except Those Listed” (the rest of the world), and is not queued separately like China, India, Mexico or the Philippines.
| EB-3 subgroup | Final Action DateCut-off to be issued a visa / complete | Dates for FilingCut-off to file |
|---|
Final Action Date: cases with a priority date before this cut-off can be issued a visa / complete the green card. Dates for Filing: the earlier cut-off allowing you to file. “Current (C)” = no priority-date limit.
EB-3 Other Workers (EW) cut-off movement month by month
Most M2W cases fall under Other Workers (EW). The chart below shows how the Final Action (visa issuance) and Dates for Filing cut-offs have advanced or retrogressed from FY2024 to now — a rising line means the queue is moving forward.

Movement is measured on the Final Action cut-off versus the previous period: ▲ Advanced = the cut-off moved to a newer date (the queue is moving faster than real time), ▼ Retrogressed = the cut-off moved back when demand exceeds the quota, — No change = static for the month.
Has your priority date come up yet?
Follow the steps below to compare your priority date with the current cut-off:
- Find your priority date on your receipt notice — usually the date the PERM labour application or the I-140 petition was received by the US authorities.
- Pick your EB-3 subgroup — Skilled Worker or Other Workers (there are hints in the selector if you are unsure).
- Pick the month and year of your priority date, then press “Check”.
- Read the result: a green background means your turn has come; amber means still waiting, with the number of months between your priority date and the current cut-off.
EB-3 cases depend on the visa bulletin and can run for years — note the CSPA rules on the age of accompanying children. To have M2W review your priority date & a specific roadmap for your case, call 0983 717 871.
