EB-3 requires sponsorship from a US employer and a labor certification (PERM); EB-2 NIW is for individuals with outstanding ability who can self-petition without sponsorship. M2W advises on the suitable category after reviewing your profile.

Yes. EB-3 has a Skilled Workers group (occupations requiring at least 2 years of experience/training) and an Other Workers group (unskilled labour with a trade) that does not require a university degree.

Yes. Spouses and unmarried children under 21 are issued an accompanying immigrant visa and receive a Green Card.

Express Entry is Canada's federal skilled-migration application management system, comprising three streams: Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and Federal Skilled Trades (FST). The system scores applications on the CRS scale and then holds periodic invitation rounds. See the details at Express Entry Canada.

The CRS scores up to a maximum of 1,200 points; there is no fixed threshold — each invitation round has its own cut-off score. General Draws are usually higher than Category-based draws (which target priority occupation groups such as healthcare, STEM, trades and French speakers). Canada classifies occupations under the NOC system with 5 TEER levels. The FSW/CEC category requires an occupation in TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3; the FST category is for skilled tradespeople. Look up your occupation code with the NOC lookup tool.

Yes. The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows a province to nominate you based on local labour demand; a PNP nomination through Express Entry adds 600 CRS points, all but guaranteeing an invitation to apply. See PNP Canada.

A minimum of 65 points to be invited under 189/190, but the actual invitation score each round is usually higher depending on the occupation. Use the points calculator above to estimate.

The occupation must be on the relevant skills list (e.g. MLTSSL for subclass 189) and usually requires a skills assessment by the relevant authority. M2W's consultant will check your occupation.

189 is an independent category requiring no sponsorship; 190 requires a state sponsor (PR immediately); 491 is a regional category with 5-year temporary residence, with a pathway to PR. Each category has different conditions and bonus points.

Correct. Business Innovation 188 stopped accepting new applications from 31 July 2024; the investment category now falls under the National Innovation visa (Subclass 858). Ask an advisor if you're interested in this route.

The Chancenkarte (opportunity card) lets you enter Germany for up to 12 months to look for work, assessed on a points system (qualifications, experience, age, language, ties to Germany). Use the tool above to estimate your score.

Most of the roadmap requires a certain level of German (usually A2–B1 depending on the category and occupation). Some IT/English-speaking positions may be more flexible. An advisor will recommend the language level needed.

Anerkennung is the procedure for recognising your qualification/profession as equivalent to the German standard, usually mandatory for regulated professions (healthcare, engineering, etc.). This is a key step to work in your actual profession and qualify for a skilled work visa.

Germany has no “golden visa” of the buy-your-residency kind. There is a residence category for the self-employed (§21), but it requires a viable business plan and economic benefit, not “pay for a card”.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer — it depends on your field of study, budget and language ability. Canada and Australia offer fairly clear Study Abroad → PR pathways; the USA has great opportunities but depends on H-1B sponsorship; Germany is nearly tuition-free and is short of skilled labour. M2W advisors analyse each country's stay-back pathway based on your profile during a free assessment.

Each country has its own requirements, updated annually, typically covering one year's tuition plus living costs; Canada usually requires a GIC, while Germany requires a blocked account (Sperrkonto). Yes. Many countries have no age limit for studying abroad, but the application needs to reasonably explain the reasons for returning to study and your career plan. Work experience can sometimes even be an advantage when assessed for settlement after graduation. M2W helps you build a convincing application.

Most countries allow students to work part-time up to a limited number of hours per week during term and full-time during breaks, subject to each country's rules and visa type. This is a way to accumulate local experience — a factor that benefits the settlement pathway later on. M2W advisors can advise on the specific rules.

Many countries allow dependants (spouse, children) to accompany a student, and some even allow the accompanying person to work. The conditions vary by country and level of study. M2W advises on the option to bring your family that best fits your profile.

Yes. Being refused once does not bar you from reapplying, but you need to correctly identify the reason for the refusal (finances, ties to your home country, consistency of the application) and address it before applying again. M2W reviews your application and points out the weaknesses before you reapply.

Most schools require an English certificate (IELTS, TOEFL or Duolingo) for admission, but the F-1 visa itself does not require IELTS. Some schools offer intensive English (Pathway) programmes for students not yet meeting the entry score.

Fields on the Department of Homeland Security's STEM list get an additional 24 months of STEM OPT (36 months of work in total), giving a higher chance of finding an employer to sponsor an H-1B than non-STEM fields.

After graduation, students have 12–36 months to work under OPT and STEM OPT. During this time, an employer sponsors an H-1B, then files a Green Card under EB-2/EB-3. The whole pathway usually takes several years, depending on the field and profile.

Tuition fees vary widely by institution type: community colleges are lower than public universities, and public universities are lower than private universities. Beyond tuition there is also the SEVIS I-901 fee, living costs and proof-of-funds requirements. M2W provides a detailed breakdown for each institution you choose.

Community colleges have much lower tuition and easier admission; students can study for 2 years and then transfer to a university via the “2+2” pathway to earn a bachelor's degree at a lower cost. Many STEM programs here still qualify for OPT. M2W advises on choosing schools with good transfer agreements.

Yes. Graduates of an eligible programme at a DLI can apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) of up to 3 years to work and build experience toward PR.

PAL (Provincial Attestation Letter) is a confirmation letter from the province. Since 2024, most study permit applications need a PAL — M2W guides applicants according to the correct province and school.

The application must prove sufficient funds for tuition and living costs, usually including a GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate). The exact amount is set by IRCC and updated annually.

It depends on your goal. A college program is usually shorter, more vocational and tied to local labour demand — an advantage for the PR pathway via PNP; a university offers a higher academic qualification. What matters is that the program qualifies for a PGWP. M2W selects schools and fields based on stay-back opportunities, not just ease of admission.

With at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada, you may be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class through Express Entry, or apply for a provincial nomination through the PNP.

Subclass 500 requires proof of English proficiency; the specific level depends on the course and school. Many programmes require IELTS around 5.5–6.5 or equivalent, sometimes with an English course before the main programme.

The Temporary Graduate visa (Subclass 485) allows a stay to work for 2 years or more depending on qualification level and region, used to build experience and PR points.

Studying and living in a Regional area earns extra points for skilled-migration PR and usually comes with a longer 485 visa period than major cities like Sydney or Melbourne.

Yes. Some fields trained through the VET (vocational education and training) system are on the eligible skills list and are in high demand, making them a realistic settlement pathway if you choose the right field. M2W advises on choosing VET fields with PR opportunities rather than just picking cheap, easy-to-enter courses.

To apply for skilled PR (189/190/491) you need a skills assessment from the authority designated for your occupation, such as VETASSESS, ACS or Engineers Australia.

Most German public universities are nearly tuition-free; students only pay the semester contribution (Semesterbeitrag). Private universities and some states may charge tuition.

APS (Akademische Prüfstelle) is an academic verification procedure, mandatory for study-abroad applications from Vietnam before applying to a school in Germany.

Graduates of German universities can extend their residence permit up to 18 months to find work in their field; once employed, they switch to a work permit or Blue Card.

A Sperrkonto is a blocked account used to prove you have enough living costs for one year when applying for a German study visa; the money is withdrawn gradually up to a monthly limit after you arrive. The deposit amount is set by the German authorities and updated annually — your M2W advisor will provide the current figure when preparing your application.

It depends on the programme. Courses taught in German require a language certificate (usually B2/C1); many programmes are taught in English, but German is still useful for post-study work opportunities.

A minimum of 800,000 USD if the project is in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA), or 1,050,000 USD outside a TEA, under the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act 2022.

No. EB-5 does not require a skills score, age limit, English proficiency or management experience — only lawful capital and an eligible job-creating project.

By law, EB-5 capital is an at-risk investment and cannot be guaranteed for return. The ability to recover it depends on the project's actual business results.

After the I-526E is approved and a visa is obtained, the investor receives a conditional 2-year Green Card, then files I-829 to remove the conditions. Set-aside categories are currently processed faster than the standard EB-5 category.

Canada has no “pay-for-PR” category. The federal Immigrant Investor Program was closed in 2014. The current investment route is the Start-up Visa, based on a business idea backed by a designated organisation, not a fixed investment amount.

Yes. The Start-up Visa grants permanent residence to entrepreneurs who meet the business requirements, have a letter of support, reach CLB 5 language proficiency, and demonstrate financial capacity.

A venture capital fund, angel investor group or startup incubator recognised by IRCC that issues a letter of support commitment for the candidate's project.

The Immediate Relative (IR) category for US citizens has no visa cap, so it is processed quickly; the F1–F4 preference categories are subject to quotas, so applicants must wait according to the priority date on the Visa Bulletin, which can take many years.

A permanent resident can sponsor a spouse and unmarried children (F2A, F2B categories). Sponsoring parents, siblings, or married children is only available to US citizens.

The sponsor files an I-864 affidavit of support, proving income meets the minimum required for the household size; if insufficient, a joint sponsor may be needed.

Due to low quotas and a large volume of applications, the F4 category usually waits many years. Check the current priority date on the Visa Bulletin before deciding to apply.

Canadian citizens or permanent residents aged 18 or over who meet the requirements and sign a financial sponsorship undertaking can sponsor a spouse, dependent children, parents and grandparents.

Sponsorship can be filed inland or outland for a spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner, depending on where the applicant currently resides.

Through the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP), applications are accepted in invitation rounds and require proof of minimum income. While not yet invited, the Super Visa is an alternative long-stay option.

PGP aims for permanent residence for parents and grandparents but depends on invitation rounds; the Super Visa grants long-term temporary stay (up to 5 years per entry) but requires health insurance and the host’s income conditions.

Partner category: 309/100 if applying outside Australia, 820/801 if applying within Australia. It usually goes through 2 stages — a temporary visa before the permanent visa is assessed.

The Parent 103 category usually has a very long wait time; the Contributory Parent 143 category is faster but has significantly higher contribution fees.

Evidence of a genuine, stable relationship is required: shared finances, shared living arrangements, social commitment, and recognition by both families.

Dependent children use Subclass 101 (applied for outside Australia) or 802 (applied for in Australia), depending on where the child is and the sponsor's residency status.

Most spouse categories require a German A1 certificate before applying for a visa. There are exceptions, such as the spouse of a Blue Card holder or cases of genuine hardship.

The Steuer-ID is mailed to the address registered via Anmeldung, usually within a few weeks. This number is needed for work and tax purposes in Germany.

For Vietnamese citizens, a B1/B2 is usually issued valid for up to 10 years, multiple entry. The length of each stay is decided by the customs officer on entry, usually up to 6 months.

Yes. After being refused under section 214(b), you may reapply once circumstances change or you can provide more convincing evidence of ties to Vietnam.

There is no fixed amount. The consular officer assesses income, employment, assets and the overall reasonableness of the trip relative to financial capacity, not just the account balance.

Vietnamese citizens are subject to visa requirements and must apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) to visit Canada. eTA only applies to citizens of visa-exempt countries and does not apply to ordinary Vietnamese passports.

A multiple-entry TRV is usually valid for up to 10 years or until the passport expires; on each entry, the border officer usually allows a stay of up to 6 months.

The Super Visa is for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents, allowing stays of up to 5 years per entry, but requires health insurance and the host's income to meet the requirement.

Yes. A Schengen visa issued by Germany allows travel throughout the Schengen area, provided Germany is the main destination or the longest stay of the trip.
