Định nghĩa ngành nghề

Thợ vận hành máy in cài đặt và vận hành máy in cuộn và máy in tờ để in văn bản, hình minh họa và thiết kế trên nhiều loại vật liệu như giấy, nhựa, thủy tinh, da và kim loại. Họ làm việc cho các công ty in thương mại; báo chí, tạp chí và các công ty xuất bản khác; và các cơ sở trong khu vực công và tư có bộ phận in nội bộ. Thợ học việc cũng thuộc nhóm đơn vị này.

Nhiệm vụ chính

Nhóm này thực hiện một số hoặc tất cả các công việc sau:

Xem đơn đặt hàng để xác định thông số công việc như thời gian sản xuất, thứ tự màu và số lượng yêu cầu, và thông báo các thông số này cho tổ máy in
Lắp bản in hoặc trục in và thực hiện các điều chỉnh cần thiết
Đổ mực vào máng mực, đo đạc, điều chỉnh và xác định cài đặt để kiểm soát màu sắc và độ nhớt
Cài đặt máy in và kiểm tra mẫu để đảm bảo độ phủ mực, căn chỉnh và khớp lớp in
Theo dõi các lượt in thường xuyên để đảm bảo chất lượng và tính nhất quán bằng bảng điều khiển máy tính và thực hiện các điều chỉnh khi cần
Tháo và làm sạch bản in và trục in khi kết thúc lượt in
Chỉ đạo hoạt động của tổ máy in và đảm bảo tuân thủ các quy trình an toàn.

Yêu cầu việc làm

Thường yêu cầu hoàn tất trung học phổ thông.
Thường yêu cầu hoàn tất chương trình cao đẳng về công nghệ in, hoặc kết hợp giữa đào tạo tại chỗ và các khóa học trung học, cao đẳng hoặc ngành nghề chuyên ngành.
Chứng chỉ nghề có sẵn nhưng không bắt buộc tại Quebec.
